I still can’t believe BBC Television Centre is going to be closing. This building that I’ve never even stepped into means so much to me and I’m mad they are closing it before I got to visit. Fry and Laurie, Doctor Who and bazillions of other favourites work there and I always thought I’d get to work there too (pending luck and talent) but I guess it’s not to be. David Mitchell has a picture of TV Centre in his book with the caption “the end”, and that’s exactly how I feel about it…it’s the top of the ladder I dreamt for myself and soon it will be gone.
